Pier Street House Our Idyllic Beach House has turned out to be so popular that it’s been nearly impossible for people to find an open date. So we have – ta dah – bought a second house. This house is only a few blocks from the original. And while it does not back on the woods, it is even closer to the beach (only a few houses away from the dune). Step outside on the 2nd floor balcony and you hear the surf and feel the breeze off the ocean… The Pier Street House is 2 stories with a vaulted ceiling and open floor plan. It sleeps up to 10 people; there are 3 bedrooms and a sofa-bed in the living room. One bedroom is furnished with kids in mind, including 2 sets of bunk beds and our now-famous “Kid Décor”. There is a woodstove for that cozy warmth that only comes from a wood fire and of course a motley collection of books & games (also a DVD for you die-hards). The kitchen is fully equipped for the one gourmet meal that counteracts all those other hot dog cook-outs… A covered deck opens out onto the quiet fenced backyard. And, as always, well-behaved dogs are welcome (a doggie door opens into the backyard). Other amenities include a barbecue, carport, dishwasher and laundry facilities. Since the house does have stairs, a balcony and a woodstove (it's use is optional since there is electric heat also), please use your best judgment as to whether the house is appropriate for young children.
